Overdue payment information
If the available credit in your account (including account balance and vouchers) is less than the pending bill amount, it will be considered overdue, and you will receive a notification via SMS or email regarding insufficient balance. This document describes the status of your LAS Data Lake service and available actions after an overdue payment.
tip
When the account is overdue, the platform will send an overdue payment reminder via SMS, email, or internal message according to the notification method you set. Please monitor your account.
An account balance less than 0 yuan is considered overdue.
Within 24 hours after the account becomes overdue, you can continue to use the metadata management functionality of LAS normally.
After the account has been overdue for more than 24 hours, the account will receive an overdue payment notification.
Overdue for 24 hours < resource retention period ≤ overdue for 7 days: Your metadata management functionality will enter the retention period.
Some functions can be used normally (show/list/get).
Creation of catalogs, databases, tables, and storage optimization tasks is not allowed. Storage optimization tasks will be stopped.
During the resource retention period, after settling the bill, you can use the metadata management functionality normally.
Overdue for 7 days < historical data retention period ≤ overdue for 30 days: After exceeding the resource retention period, the service will be unsubscribed, but historical data can be recovered after reactivation.
Your LAS service will be unsubscribed, and you need to reactivate the LAS service.
After reactivation, historical metadata is available.
After overdue for more than 30 days, after reactivation, historical metadata cannot be recovered.
Please top up and settle the overdue bill within the specified time to avoid being unable to use the metadata management functionality normally.
Starting from LAS AI version 0.11.0, EMR serverless queue resources are used as dedicated queues for AI Data Lake services (this method is recommended), allowing flexible application for development machine creation and task execution, further improving the flexibility and utilization of queue resources. Therefore, from this version onward, queue resource fee bills will be generated in the EMR product. LAS will no longer include queue resource billing items or fee bills. For the corresponding queue resource overdue payment instructions, refer to EMR Serverless queue overdue payment instructions documentation.
The following introduces the resource handling logic for users utilizing existing LAS queue resources when LAS queue resources have outstanding payments.
After your account has outstanding payments, your resources will enter the retention period, and resource usage will be restricted. After the retention period expires, your resources will be forcibly reclaimed. Once reclaimed, resources cannot be restored. Please top up and settle the overdue bill within the specified time (before resources are forcibly reclaimed) to ensure normal use of file storage resources.
tip
When the account is in an overdue state, after settling the overdue payment invoice, you need to confirm that the available credit in the account (including account balance and vouchers) is greater than or equal to RMB 100. Otherwise, queues cannot be created.
Restriction: After an overdue payment, you cannot create new resources or submit new tasks to the public queue.
Impact on existing resources: After an overdue payment, resources enter the overdue suspension period. Once the suspension period ends, resources move to the shutdown retention period. If the overdue payment is not settled after the retention period, resources are released.
Key time points:
Overdue for 2 hours: Service restricted, you will not be able to create new resource queues or submit new tasks to the public queue.
Overdue for 1 day: Service shutdown, pay-as-you-go resource queue status changes to "Overdue". The metadata module is shut down, and existing catalogs cannot be viewed. Development machines, tasks, workflows, and similar items running based on resource queues will not operate, and you cannot create new tasks that consume resources.
Overdue for 7 days: LAS Data Lake Service will be automatically unsubscribed, and some resources (such as development machine cloud disks) will be forcibly released and cannot be restored.
Restriction: After an overdue payment, you cannot purchase, modify configurations, or renew, but existing resources within the subscription validity period can be used normally.
Impact of not renewing upon expiration:
Renew within 12 hours after expiration: Resource queue status remains normal; however, associated development machines, workflows, tasks, and online services stop running;
Renew within 12–360 hours after expiration: The queue automatically resumes running status, but tasks must be manually started;
Not renewed after more than 360 hours: The queue is automatically released.
Overdue payment settled within 7 days: After your overdue payment invoice is settled, the LAS resource queues that were suspended due to overdue payment will automatically start and enter the running state. Tasks and related items need to be manually started.
Overdue payment settled within 7–30 days: After your overdue payment invoice is settled, you can reactivate the LAS Data Lake service. Historical data in the metadata module, historical log data, and configurations for development machines, tasks, and related items are available.
Overdue payment settled after 30 days: After your overdue payment invoice is settled, you can reactivate the LAS Data Lake service. Data and configurations related to the console cannot be recovered.
