RDS for SQL Server offers the following features to help you build your ideal applications.
High-Performance hardware
The powerful I/O performance of ultra-fast SSD cloud disks ensures database read/write access, providing 99.99999% data durability.
tip
A service cycle is one calendar month. Data durability = (Total data in the service cycle - Lost data in the service cycle) / Total data in the service cycle * 100%.
High availability architecture
Provides an online primary/secondary high availability architecture to ensure service availability. If the primary node fails, the system automatically detects the failure and switches to the secondary node within seconds.
Backup and restore
Based on full, incremental, and log backups, you can perform a lossless restore to any point in time within the last 7 days to 1 year, ensuring data reliability.
Read/Write splitting
RDS for SQL Server Enterprise High-availability Edition supports creating read-only instances. Read-write separation offloads database read operations to read-only nodes, lowering primary instance read load and boosting the system's overall processing capacity.
