Subscriptions

Subscriptions help you save more, especially suited for long-term usage scenarios. This section introduces the billing details and settlement cycle for purchasing message queue for RabbitMQ instances with subscriptions.

Introduction

For situations requiring long-term usage of message queue for RabbitMQ, you can opt for subscriptions by prepaying for several months or up to three years. It is cost-effective compared to pay-as-you-go instances. On the VolcanoEngine platform, purchasing subscriptions for over a year grants you annual discounts, making it the perfect choice for long-term consistent operations.

Billing introduction

Annual and monthly subscriptions support purchases by month (from 1 to 11 months) and by year (from 1 to 3 years), with specific discounts based on the actual settlement procedure.

Settlement period

The billing period for RabbitMQ subscription instances is based on the duration of your purchase (UTC+8), starting from the time resources are activated (to the second) and ending at 23:59:59 on the expiry date.

For example, if you create a subscription instance on July 1, 2021, at 14:00:00, and purchase for one month, the billing period would start from July 1st, 2021, 14:00:00 to August 1st, 2021, 23:59:59.

Notes

If your account is in arrears, you can still use the purchased annual or monthly subscription of message queue for RabbitMQ instances normally. However, you can not purchase new instances or renew existing ones until the outstanding fees are paid. For more details, refer to the Notice of arrears and expiration.
