This document describes how to update your policy configuration in VolcanoEngine Global Traffic Management (GTM).
Prerequisites
Steps
Refer to the following steps to update your policy configuration.
- On the GTM instance management page, locate your GTM instance. Click the GTM instance's domain in the domain column.
- In the Policy Configuration section of the Policy Management tab, update your policy configuration.
- For basic routing, you can:
- Add routing rules in the Custom Routing tab.
- Update health check parameters on the General configuration tab.
tip
The health check parameters configured in the policy apply to the routing rules of each inherited policy configuration contained in the policy. If a routing rule uses a custom configuration, the custom configuration takes precedence.
- View the Sankey diagram of traffic routing in the expected traffic view tab.
- With intelligent routing, you can:
- Update routing target, routing mode, and health check parameters on the General configuration tab page.
tip
The health check parameters configured in the policy apply to the routing rules of all inherited policy configurations in the policy. If routing rules use custom configuration, custom configuration takes precedence.
- Add custom routing rules in the Custom Routing tab. Custom routing rules take precedence over system-generated routing rules.
- View the Sankey diagram for traffic routing in the expected traffic view tab.
