Configuring automated tasks

Automation refers to scheduled observability tasks designed for periodic use cases such as routine inspections and resource health checks. This topic describes how to create and manage automated tasks.

Prerequisites

A prompt of no more than 4,000 characters has been prepared with a clearly defined task objective. Markdown syntax is recommended.

(Optional) If a custom expert agent is used to execute tasks, it must be created in advance. For more details, see Creating agents.

Create an automation

In the left navigation pane, select "Intelligent assistant", and then select "Automation" from the "Intelligent assistant" main menu to go to the "Automation" page.

Click Create automation, configure the relevant information in the pop-up window, and click Confirm.

Parameter	Description
Name	Specify a name for the automation. Duplicate names are not allowed.
Execution Agent	Select the agent to execute the task based on the actual scenario.
Prompt	Paste or enter the prompt for task execution.
Execution Time	Configure the execution cycle of the automated task, accurate to the minute.

Manage an automation

Go to the "Automation" page, and click an action button in the "Actions" column to the right of the target automated task to perform the corresponding operation.

Actions	Description
Enable/Disable	Enable or disable the automated task. If the automated task is disabled, the task will not be triggered even when the scheduled time is reached.
Execute Now	Manually trigger the task once.
Details	Display detailed information about the automated task, including task configuration, execution history, and details. Click Enter Conversation in the "Actions" column to the right of an execution history entry to view the details of this conversation.
Edit	Modify the configuration of the current automated task.
Delete	Delete the automated task if you no longer need it. warning Deleted automated tasks cannot be recovered. Proceed with caution.
