MCP Server

With the widespread application of AI technology, more clients begin supporting Anthropic's open-source Model Context Protocol (MCP), helping large language models (LLM) convert users' natural language management needs into standardized resource management commands.

To further simplify resource management for RDS for PostgreSQL, we launched a dedicated service based on the MCP protocol - RDS PostgreSQL MCP Server. This service includes a full set of cloud database resource management tools that seamlessly connect with LLMs through MCP. This facilitates full-process automation of "natural language input → standardized command conversion → database operation execution," significantly reducing management costs.

Deployment methods supported by RDS PostgreSQL MCP Server

RDS PostgreSQL MCP currently supports two deployment methods: cloud deployment and local deployment.

Install RDS PostgreSQL MCP Server

Standard scenario (platform/development environment)

If you use RDS PostgreSQL MCP Server in platforms or tools like Volcano Ark, TRAE, HiAgent, Cursor, or in the Python development environment, you can directly go to MCP marketplace to get a dedicated long-lasting URL.

Custom scenario
