ByteHouse has customized certain functions based on TEA Event Analysis use cases, including retention analysis functions, funnel analysis functions, and path analysis functions. Compared to assembling SQL or using ClickHouse native functions, ByteHouse's proprietary specialized functions are more efficient.
Retention analysis functions support the genArrayIf function and the retention2 function, which can be used to observe the retention of users who meet certain dimension criteria for each unit of time within a selected time range after a specified interval. For a detailed introduction and usage instructions for retention analysis functions, see Retention analysis functions.
Funnel analysis functions support the finder Funnel(), funnelRep(), and funnelRep2() functions, which are suitable for observing the summary of funnel tag values for users segmented by a certain time range for each unit of time (day) within a selected time range. For a detailed introduction and usage instructions for funnel analysis functions, see Funnel analysis functions.
Path analysis functions support the pathSplit and pathCount functions, which are suitable for analyzing user behavior paths within a selected time range. The frontend display effect is roughly as follows. For a detailed introduction and usage instructions for path analysis functions, see Path analysis functions.
