Constructing requests
This article describes the composition of API requests for VolcanoEngine CloudFS, a big data file storage service.
The URL for initiating an API request is assembled from different parameters and follows a fixed request structure. The URL contains common parameters, a signature, and specific interface parameters. Requests and returned results are encoded using the UTF-8 character set.
tip
Each API document provides a sample URL request for your reference. For ease of viewing, these URL samples are not encoded; you need to encode them yourself before sending a request.
The format of the API request URL for CloudFS is as follows:
https://open.volcengineapi.com?Action=xxx&Version=2024-08-01&{parameters}
VolcanoEngine CloudFS supports GET and POST requests.
It is recommended to send requests using the more secure HTTPS protocol.
Request parameters consist of common request parameters and interface request parameters. Common request parameters must be included in every request.
For common parameters, see Common parameters; for interface request parameters, see the documentation for each API interface.
