Can CloudFS be accessed across regions?
No, currently CloudFS only supports access within the VPC network and can only be accessed within the same Region.
Can CloudFS be accessed from multiple VPCs?
Yes.
CloudFS supports binding up to 3 VPCs to a file storage system, allowing services accessing CloudFS to use different VPCs.
Are there any Hadoop environment requirements for using CloudFS?
All Hadoop versions 2.x and above are supported.
Does CloudFS support concurrent read and write operations on the same file?
CloudFS supports concurrent reading of the same file, but at any given time, only one client can write to the same file.
Does CloudFS support random write operations?
Not supported.
What are the limitations when using the CloudFS file system?
CloudFS imposes certain limitations on the usage of a single file system, including:
- Maximum number of NameSpaces that can be mounted by a single instance: 10
- Maximum number of files per NameSpace: 5 billion
- Maximum read QPS per NameSpace: 100,000
- Maximum write QPS per NameSpace: 10,000
