Message Queue for Kafka in VolcanoEngine fully complies with the open-source Kafka protocol and supports multi-language SDKs. Clients can access Message Queue for Kafka through both VPC networks and public network access to send and receive messages. This document describes the main process of using the C++ client to access Message Queue for Kafka in VolcanoEngine for sending and receiving messages.
Access methods
Message Queue for Kafka provides multiple access points in different network environments for clients to connect and exchange messages.
tip
- For detailed descriptions of access points, refer to Access Point Description.
- Instances that enabled public network access on or before July 4, 2022, only support the SASL_PLAINTEXT protocol, which uses SASL for authentication without encrypted communication. To use SSL encryption, disable and then re-enable public network access.
