Binding or unbinding an EIP
- Public CLB instances do not support binding and unbinding Elastic IPs (EIPs).
- Private CLB instances support binding/unbinding an EIP and the Anycast EIP.
- Elastic IP (EIP): Also known as Unicast Elastic IP (EIP), provides internet connectivity for cloud resources. For details, please refer to EIP Product Overview.
- Anycast Elastic IP (EIP): Also known as Anycast Elastic IP, provides nationwide internet acceleration capability for cloud resources. For details, please refer to EIP Product Overview.
- Anycast Elastic IP (EIP) is currently in Beta testing and is only available for trial applications for accounts with completed Enterprise Certification. If you need a trial, please contact your account manager.
- After your Beta application is approved, newly created CLB instances can normally bind Anycast Elastic IP (EIP), but existing CLB instances created earlier do not yet support binding.
Procedure
Associating EIP
Only one Elastic IP (EIP) can be associated with a CLB instance.
- In the top menu bar, select the target project and target region.
- Click ··· > Access to Internet > Associate an EIP on the right side of the target CLB instance.
- Select the resource type for the EIP to be bound to, and select the target EIP from the list below.
- Currently, two types are supported: Elastic IP (EIP) and Anycast Elastic IP (EIP).
- If the Anycast Elastic IP (EIP) is selected, the CLB instance will serve as the default origin for the Anycast EIP. If the Anycast Elastic IP (EIP) was associated with other cloud resources before binding to the CLB instance, please refer to Modifying the access zone to update the Direct Connect location configuration after successful binding.
- Click Confirm to complete the binding.
Disassociating EIP
- In the top menu bar, select the target region and target project.
- Click ··· > Access to Internet > Disassociate an EIP on the right side of the target CLB instance.
- Click OK to complete the unbinding.
