Health check logs
After you enable the health check log delivery feature, ALB delivers health check logs of instances to Torch Log Service (TLS). Based on TLS, ALB can retrieve, analyze, and process log entries. This helps you easily access, view, and analyze logs, to identify and resolve health check issues.
tip
ALB delivers health check logs only when the health check status of a backend server changes.
In the left-side navigation pane, click Instance to go to the Instance page.
On the Instance page, click the instance you want to configure.
On the Basic information tab, choose Log delivery > Health check log > Edit configuration.
Toggle the Health check log switch to enable it, and set Log project and Log topic as needed.
tip
If you initially enable the health check log delivery or access log analysis feature, authorize your service role ServiceRoleForAlb to use TLS so that ALB can perform subsequent delivery actions.
If this role is deleted, the cross-service permissions become invalid, and ALB cannot deliver logs from all instances with the access log feature enabled. Proceed with caution.
If no projects and topics are available, create a project and a topic, then select them.
The logs of the same instance can only be delivered to the specified topic, but a topic can receive logs of different instances.
We recommend that you deliver access logs and health check logs to different projects or topics for easy management and to avoid inconsistent retrieval fields.
You can disable health check log delivery at any time. To disable this feature, choose Log delivery > Health check log > Edit configuration, and toggle the Health check log switch.
After the feature is disabled, the delivered logs are retained in TLS, and the retention period depends on the configuration of the topic in TLS.
When you enable this feature next time, select a project and a topic again.
