Viewing monitoring data
Operation scenario
Network Load Balancer (NLB) supports real-time monitoring of various metrics for NLB instances and listeners via the cloud monitor service. By configuring Alert Policy for the NLB, you can promptly detect abnormal metrics and ensure stable operation. For more information about monitoring metrics, refer to Network Load Balancer Monitoring Metrics.
tip
The cloud monitor collects NLB monitoring metric data every 30 seconds, which is the average value of the NLB over 30 seconds. For example, New Connections Per Second is displayed by the cloud monitor as the average number of new connections in 30 seconds.
Prerequisites
IAM users may not be able to directly view the monitoring data of the NLB. To view this data, ensure that you have authorized cloud monitor permissions for the IAM user. For specific actions, please refer to Why are IAM users unable to view monitoring data?
View on the Network Load Balancer Console
  1. In the top menu bar, select the target region and target project.
  1. Click the monitoring icon under the monitoring column of the target NLB.
  1. Navigate between the Instance, Availability Zone, and Listener tabs to view their dedicated monitoring metrics as needed.
tip
If an instance is stopped or upgraded, NLB monitoring data may be unavailable, and no data points or trend lines are displayed in the monitoring metric chart during a period of time.
