Service suspension and restoration due to overdue payment or expiration

When the EMR Serverless service is suspended due to system overdue payment or similar reasons, the system will prompt you to renew. There are two types of service suspension in EMR Serverless: Pay-As-You-Go - suspension due to overdue payment and Subscription - suspension of elastic resources due to overdue payment. The system determines which suspension method to use based on the instances purchased by the user and the status of all instances.

Pay-As-You-Go overdue payment suspension

In the system, only Pay-As-You-Go instances exist (such as public queues, Pay-As-You-Go instances, and many others). The suspension policy for Pay-As-You-Go service instances varies depending on the duration of overdue payment.

warning

Service suspension is based on the minimum value of each resource. For example, in Pay-As-You-Go mode, after an actual overdue payment of 2 hours, the EMR Serverless service becomes unavailable.

  • If the overdue payment (account balance is negative) is not settled within 2 hours, the service will be suspended. During the suspension period, storage resources will continue to be billed normally. After recharging or making an offline payment, when the account balance is non-negative, the service can be restored.
  • If all overdue payments are not settled within 7 * 24 hours after the overdue payment, the service will enter the recycling state, all EMR Serverless resources will be released, and the service will become unavailable. Released resources cannot be restored. The service can only be used normally after the overdue payment is settled and reactivated.

Subscription suspension

warning

The service suspension period is determined by the minimum value among all resources. For example, in the elastic Subscription mode, if there is an actual overdue period of 2 hours, the EMR Serverless queue service becomes unavailable.

  • For the elastic portion of computing resources, if the overdue payment is not settled within 2 hours, the service will be suspended. If all overdue payments are not settled within 7 * 24 hours after the overdue payment, the service will enter the recycling state, all EMR Serverless queue resources will be released, and the service will become unavailable. Released resources cannot be restored. The service can only be used normally after the overdue payment is settled and reactivated.
  • If the user incurs overdue payment due to using Pay-As-You-Go storage resources (or using Volcano Engin other platform services), Subscription computing resources within the valid period cannot be used normally. Recharge is required to restore normal service usage.
