Open RDS for MySQL for individual users on June 06, 2024
RDS for MySQL is now open to individual users. After registering an account and completing personal real-name authentication, individual users can use RDS for MySQL.
June 6, 2024.
North China 2 (Beijing), East China 2 (Shanghai), South China 1 (Guangzhou).
Different from enterprise users, individual users will have the following limitations when using RDS for MySQL:
- Autonomous service functions such as slow log analysis, audit log, or SQL rate limiting are not supported for the time being.
- Each personally real-name authenticated account can apply for a seven-day unconditional full refund for one instance per year.
- Volcano Engine has established (and will continuously improve according to the development of technology) necessary technical measures to defend against network security matters or behaviors that endanger network security such as computer viruses, network intrusions, and attack damages (including DDoS). However, due to the limitations of the development of network security technology and the unpredictability of network attack behaviors, if your website encounters network harmful behaviors and causes harm to Volcano Engine or other networks or servers of Volcano Engine (including local, foreign networks, servers, etc.), or affects the smooth connection between Volcano Engine and specific networks, servers, and internal networks, Volcano Engine may decide to suspend or terminate the service. If Volcano Engine terminates the service, the service fee will be calculated according to the actual service months provided (calculated by day if less than one month), and the remaining funds (if any) will be returned. Volcano Engine will not be responsible for the impact on service availability caused by network harmful behaviors.
- You should not occupy a large amount of server memory, CPU, or network bandwidth resources in Volcano Engine's cloud computing resources through programs or processes, which may cause a heavy load on the network, servers (including but not limited to local, foreign, and international networks and servers, etc.), products or services of Volcano Engine or Volcano Engine users, affect the smooth connection between Volcano Engine's cloud computing resources and networks, or cause the servers where Volcano Engine or Volcano Engine users are located to crash or freeze, or make the products or services based on the Volcano Engine platform inaccessible.
