Manage shipping configurations
This topic describes the main operations for managing shipping configurations, such as modifying shipping settings and pausing or enabling log shipping.
Modify shipping configuration
After you successfully create a shipping configuration, you can modify various parameters at any time. Steps are shown as follows:
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Data processing > Log shipping.
  1. In the Shipping configuration list section under the TOS shipping configuration tab, locate the specified shipping configuration and click Modify configuration in the Actions column.
  1. Reset the shipping configuration.
  • For shipping configurations in different formats, see:
  1. Click Submit.
Pause or start shipping configuration
After creating a shipping configuration, it is enabled by default. You can turn it off or on at any time. If you restart the configuration after pausing it, log data collected during the pause will also be shipped to TOS object storage.
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Data processing > Log shipping.
  1. Then in the Shipping configuration list section, under the TOS shipping configuration tab, locate the specified configuration and turn it on or off in the Shipping status column.
View shipping configuration and task details
After creating a shipping configuration, you can view its basic information in the shipping configuration list on the Log shipping page. You can also click the configuration name to view its detailed settings on the Shipping configuration page and information about all triggered shipping tasks in the last 3 days on the Shipping task details page.
On the Shipping task details page, you can query shipping tasks by time range. The page displays the log time range and start and end times for tasks that match the filter conditions.
Tip
Only shipping tasks triggered within the past three days can be viewed.

The time period during which the log data for this shipping task is collected in TLS.
Shipping task start time
The startup time of the shipping task.
Shipping task end time
The end time of the shipping task.
Shipping task status
The current status of the shipping task.
For detailed description of status, see the table below.

When the shipping configuration is enabled, TLS executes shipping tasks according to the defined policy. The statuses of shipping tasks are described as follows:

Status
Description
Success
The shipping task was executed successfully.
Failed
The shipping task failed to execute. Possible reasons include:
  • TOS authentication failed. For example, cross-service access authorization is not configured. You need to authorize, and then retry. For details, see Cross-service access authorization.
  • The specified TOS bucket does not exist. Create a bucket or modify the shipping rules and retry.
  • Internal error. We recommend submitting a ticket and contacting technical support for assistance.

Retry failed tasks
For tasks that failed to execute, handle them based on the error messages displayed on the page. After processing, retry the task to ensure its log data can be shipped to object storage TOS.
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Data processing > Log shipping.
  1. in the Shipping configuration list section, under the TOS shipping tab, locate the specified configuration and click its name.
  1. In the shipping task details, locate the task with Shipping task status as Failed, and then click Retry in its Actions column.
Delete shipping configuration
If you no longer need the shipping configuration, you can promptly disable it to save resources.
Tip
  • Deleted configurations can not be recovered. Proceed with caution.
  • After deleting the configuration, the next log shipping will stop, but this will not affect data already shipped to TOS.
Steps are shown as follows:
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Data processing > Log shipping.
  1. Then, in the Shipping configuration list area, under the TOS shipping tab, locate the target shipping configuration and click Delete in the Actions column.
  1. Confirm the details of the configuration to be deleted in the pop-up dialog box and click Delete.
