When querying log data in TLS, you can use the quick analysis feature to instantly view information about the Top 5 values of specified fields over a set period of time. This topic describes how to use quick analysis feature.
Background information
TLS offers a quick analysis feature in the left sidebar in query and analysis page. Query and analysis statements are not required. You can simply interact with one click to view information about the Top 5 values of specified fields from recent periods. The quick analysis feature is ideal for scenarios that require a simple preview of field value categories and proportions, such as viewing the proportions of various request types or the Top 5 interface list by access volume.
Prerequisites
For fields that need quick analysis, indexes have been configured and statistic feature is enabled. For more details, see Configuration Index.
Steps
- Log in to TLS console.
- Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
- In the left navigation pane, select Common functions > Query and analysis.
- On Query and analysis page and in the list of left pane, select the specified project and topic.
- On the query and analysis page for the specified log topic, set the time range.
- By default, the time range is 5 minutes. You can also customize the time range for query. If log data does not fall within the specified query time range, it will not be retrieved.
- Click the field name in the left sidebar.
- The pop-up window displays the basic information, statistical metrics, and Top 5 field values within specified time range.
- Click Top 5 field value change trend to view the trending changes of Top 5 field values in the chart analysis. You can also change the chart settings to display rapid analysis results in various chart formats.
Notice
The Other fields section shows fields that have not enabled statistics in the index configuration. For detailed steps to enable statistics, see Configuration Index.

Metric description for quick analysis
The quick analysis metrics for different index field types are as follows. For JSON type indexes, analysis is based only on the types of subfields (text, long, double).
