Data preparation, including data access and modeling, is the foundation of data lake visualization Analysis. Usually, users need to perform data access before they can perform visual analysis.
Data Connection is the first step to complete the interface with the database. After completion, a Dataset can be created as input to Data Visual Query Analysis or as input to Data Visualization Modeling. Visualization Modeling refers to the basic data processing, data cleaning, modeling processing, etc. for the existing data. After the processing is completed, the Dataset can be provided to the data Visual Query Analysis. Usually IT personnel, data developers, or data analysts will perform more operations in the Visualization Modeling process.
The logic between Data Connection, Dataset, Visualization Modeling, and more modules is depicted in the following figure:
In the top bar of the product interface, click "Data preparation", and the drop-down bar includes: Data Connection, Visualization Modeling, Dataset. Click on any entry to enter the corresponding module. As shown in the following figure:
warning
The visual modeling function is turned off by default in a privatized environment. If you wish to use the visual modeling function, you need to contact the technical support personnel of BytePlus to enable the function and turn on the function switch before you can use it.
The three modules are described above, and you are welcome to go to the specific single document to learn more.
