Associating a Virtual Private Cloud
Scenarios
By associating a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with a Global Direct Exchange Gateway (DXGW), you can enable private network connectivity between your on-premises data center (IDC) and VPC.
Prerequisites
  • You have created a VPC instance. This VPC is not been associated with any DXGW. If not, see Creating a VPC.
Procedure
  1. Click the name of the target DXGW and select the Virtual Private Cloud tab.
  1. Click Associate VPC.
  1. Configure parameters based on the table below.
  •
    Parameter
    Description
    Example
    Resource owner
Currently, only supports VPC instances within the same account.
    Same-account
    Region
Select the region where the VPC is deployed.
    China (Beijing)
    VPC
    Select the VPC instance.
    vpc-30wq9gu***
    Allowed route prefix
A route prefix is the CIDR block used to match route entry traffic. Both IPv4 and IPv6 route prefixes are supported.
    • Before configuration: DXGW forwards all CIDR routes from the VPC to the IDC.
    • After configuration: DXGW forwards only routes matching the specified route prefixes to the IDC.
    tip
    • Route prefix configurations must not overlap for VPCs associated with the same DXGW.
    • In complex hybrid cloud networking scenarios, the route prefix you set has the highest forwarding priority. For other priority rules, see Feature Limits.
    10.XX.XX.0/24

  1. Click OK to complete the action.
Related actions
  • Modify VPC configuration: After associating a VPC with DXGW, you can modify the route prefix and configure specific route propagation as needed.
  • Disassociate VPC: DXGW supports associating multiple VPCs. You can also disassociate a VPC as needed.
