Direct Connect 99.95% availability

When using Direct Connect (DC) to enable network interconnection between an on-premises data center (IDC) and a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). For critical services with low downtime tolerance, we advise adopting the higher disaster recovery configuration recommended herein. This ensures traffic can quickly switch to another line if one fails, maintaining service stability.

In addition, the "Service Availability Commitment" in the Direct Connect Service Level Agreement explicitly states: "This SLA only guarantees service availability for multi-link access to different access points. Other access modes (such as multi-link to the same access point, or single-link to the same access point) are not covered by this SLA".

Configuration requirements

Use at least two DC links for access.

Multiple DC Connections must connect to switches at different access points.
