Features

Instance management

Feature	Description
Instance management	You can manage resources at the instance level. This includes creating, viewing, and deleting instances. For more information, see Creating instances and Instance management. Message Queue for RocketMQ offers various instance specification options and supports upgrading or downgrading instances. For more information on upgrading an instance, see Upgrading instances. The downgrade feature is currently in closed beta. Contact your account manager to have your account added to the allowlist.
Public network access	You can enable or disable public network access to instances as needed.
Background task management	You can view the execution records of background tasks. This includes the status, details, start time, and end time of tasks such as instance reconfiguration and restart.

Group and topic management

Feature	Description
Group management	You can manage resources at the group level. You can also visually view consumer group details in the console, including their status, subscribed topics, and consumer offsets.
Topic management	You can manage resources at the topic level. This includes operations such as creating, viewing, and deleting topics. For more information, see Topic management.

Message management

Feature	Description
Message query	You can filter and search for messages using the message ID or a time range. You can also download message content or view message details online.
Message trace	In the console, you can view the trajectory of queried message entries from producer to server to consumer.
Dead letter management	You can query and export messages that have entered the dead-letter queue to troubleshoot production or consumption issues.
Resetting consumer offsets	In the console, you can reset consumer offsets to adjust the current consumption position of subscribers. This feature allows you to start consuming messages from a specified point in time or from the latest offset.

Monitoring and alerting

Feature	Description
Real-time data monitoring	Message Queue for RocketMQ offers real-time data monitoring powered by Volcano Engine Cloud Monitor. It monitors the running status, resource usage, and message sending and receiving latency of instances 24/7.
Custom alert policy	Message Queue for RocketMQ offers a wide range of monitoring metrics and customizable alert policies. You can set up alert notifications for various scenarios and channels.

Permission management

Feature	Description
ACL management	Message Queue for RocketMQ offers access control list (ACL) management. It is fully compatible with the built-in permission policies of open-source RocketMQ solutions. Access keys (AK/SK) can be managed through the console. Message Queue for RocketMQ also provides topic-level permission management, which enhances configuration flexibility while ensuring data and business security.
Access control	Message Queue for RocketMQ is fully integrated with Volcano Engine Identity and Access Management (IAM). This enables different access policies based on roles and achieves fine-grained permission management in multiple scenarios.

Developer tools

Feature	Description
OpenAPI	Message Queue for RocketMQ provides RPC-style OpenAPI interfaces that cover all product features.
SDKs for multiple languages	Message Queue for RocketMQ provides open-source software development kits (SDKs) for multiple programming languages. These SDKs can be easily and securely integrated.
