Viewing consumption details
Once you have created a group and begun to consume messages, the Message Queue for RocketMQ console will record and display consumption details. These details include consumption speed, client IP addresses, and subscribed topics.
Steps
  1. In the top menu bar, select the region of the instance you want to manage.
  1. In the left navigation pane, click Instance List. Then, find the instance on this page and click its name.
  1. On the Group Management tab, click the ID of the group you want to check.
  1. View the consumption information, client information, and subscription information.
Viewing consumption information
The Consumer information section shows the overall consumption status and message backlog.

Field
Description
Consumption status
The current consumption status, which is either Consumption or Unconsumed.
Message stack
The total number of unconsumed messages within the group.
The message backlog shown here is the unfiltered total backlog, covering all tags under the subscribed topic(s).
Consumption pattern
The consumption mode used by the group.
Clustering is the default mode. You can also configure broadcasting in the consumer client.
Do not use both clustering and broadcasting in the same group.
Real-time consumption speed
The total TPS at which consumers in the group receive messages, measured in messages per second.
Message delay time
The difference between the production time of the earliest unconsumed message and the current time.
Subscription relationship
Indicates whether consumers in the group have consistent subscriptions.
Whether to consume in sequence
Indicates whether the server delivers messages to consumers in the order they were received.
  • Yes: Ordered delivery
  • No: Concurrent delivery
tip
This parameter only applies to RocketMQ 5.x instances.
Maximum number of retries
The maximum number of times a message can be redelivered.
If a message is not consumed after the maximum number of retries is reached, it is delivered to a dead-letter queue or discarded.
tip
This parameter only applies to RocketMQ 5.x instances.

Viewing client information
The Client side information tab provides a list of consumer clients using the group, including their IP addresses, IDs, programming languages, and versions.

Field
Description
Client side IP
The IP address and port number of the client.
Client side ID
The consumer client ID. This value is either the default client ID or the client ID configured through the client API.
Client side language
The programming language used by the client.
Client side version
The version of the RocketMQ instance used by the client.
Message stack
The number of messages that the client has not consumed.

To view a client's consumption data, including basic information, consumption statistics, and retry statistics, click Consumption details in the Operation column.
  • The Basic information section displays the client's IP address, programming language, and version.
  • The Consumption statistics tab displays the subscribed topic, the successful consumption rate in messages per second, the failed consumption rate in messages per second, the processing time in milliseconds per message, and the number of unconsumed messages.
  • The Retry consumption statistics tab displays information about retries following a consumption failure. This includes the topic name, the successful consumption rate in messages per second, the failed consumption rate in messages per second, the processing time in milliseconds per message, and the number of unconsumed messages.
Viewing subscription information
The Subscription information tab provides a list of the group's subscribed topics, including the name of each topic and its queue count.

Field
Description
Topic
The name of the topic to which the client is subscribed.
Queue
The number of queues for the topic. Each topic has one or more queues, which are used for storing messages.

To view the consumption details of a topic by queue, click Cohort consumption details In the Operation column. The page displays the total number of queues, the topic name, and the group ID. Below that is a table containing details for each queue.

Field
Description
Queue ID
The unique identifier of the queue.
Maximum offset
The offset of the latest message in the queue.
Current consumption progress
The current consumer offset for the queue.
Unconsumed messages
The number of unconsumed messages in the queue.
Current consumption progress timestamp
The time of the last consumption activity in the queue.

To reset the consumer offset of a topic, click Reset check point in the Operation column. For more information on resetting consumer offsets, see Resetting consumer offsets.
