Viewing consumption details
After a topic is created and its data is being consumed by users, the Message Queue for RocketMQ console records and displays the consumption details, including queue and consumer group information.
Steps
  1. In the top menu bar, select the region of the instance you want to check.
  1. In the left navigation pane, click Instance List. Then, find the instance on this page and click its name.
  1. On the Topic Management tab, click the topic you want to check.
  • The tabs on the page offer various types of information, such as basic information, queue information, consumer group information, and key permissions.
  1. Click the Queue information, Consumer group information, or Key permission tab to view the relevant information.
Queue information
The Queue information shows the status of all queues for a topic. This includes the queue ID, minimum offset, maximum offset, and message update time.

Field
Description
Queue ID
The ID of the queue.
Minimum offset
The minimum offset of the queue.
Maximum offset
The maximum offset of the queue.
Message update time
The time when the most recent message was written to the queue.

Consumer group information
The Consumer group information tab shows details about all consumer groups for a topic, including group ID, consumption pattern, and subscription rules.

Field
Description
Group ID
The ID of the consumer group.
Consumption pattern
  • Cluster consumption: Message Queue for RocketMQ assumes that each message only needs to be processed by one consumer in the cluster.
  • Broadcast consumption: Message Queue for RocketMQ pushes each message to all registered consumers in the cluster. This ensures that each message is consumed at least once by every consumer.
Subscription rules
The subscription rule for the comsumer group. The console directly passes through the string specified when the consumer group subscribes to the topic, typically * or TAG1 || TAG2.

Key permission
The Key permission tab shows the list of keys for the current instance, as well as the custom permissions for each key.
If the default permissions for a key do not meet your needs, you can set custom permissions for that key here. Click Set key permissions, and then configure the key's permissions for the current topic. For more information, see Configuring key permissions.

Field
Description
Key name
The name of the key, that is, the access key ID.
Custom permissions
The custom permissions for the key. If a hyphen (-) is displayed, it means that no custom permissions have been set and the default permissions apply.
You can view the default permissions for each key on the Key Management tab of the instance.
