Deleting instances
If you no longer need certain RocketMQ instances, delete their resources and release them to save costs.
- The billing method for the instance is pay-as-you-go. Subscription instances are automatically deleted when they expire. They cannot be deleted during the contract period.
- The instance must be in the Running or Error state and must not have any ongoing background tasks.
Notes
- You cannot delete an instance if it still contains resources, such as topics, groups, or access keys. Delete these resources first to delete the instance.
- Be careful, because deleted instances cannot be recovered.
- If public access is enabled for an instance, its associated Elastic IP Address (EIP) will be automatically disassociated when the instance is deleted. The EIP will continue to exist and incur charges. If you no longer need it, release it manually.
Steps
- In the top menu bar, select the region of the instance you want to remove.
- On the Instance List page, locate the instance. Then, click ... > Delete in the Operation column.
- In the box that appears, click Delete.
