Overview

Usage Restrictions

This document introduces the general usage restrictions of cloud backup. Restrictions may vary depending on the backed-up cloud resources. For details, please refer to the overview document in each cloud resource backup user guide.

Specification Limits

Restrictions	Restriction Description
Backup source	The maximum number of backup sources that a single account can add in a single region is unlimited by default but may be restricted by the backup source product. The number of concurrent backup or restore tasks allowed for a single backup source: 1. The maximum number of queued backup or restore tasks allowed per backup source: 2.
Backup plan	The maximum number of backup plans that can be added per account within a single region: 300. The maximum number of backup sources that can be associated with a single backup plan: 300.
Backup policy	The maximum number of backup policies that can be added per account within a single region: 300.
Restore point	The maximum number of restore points allowed per single backup source: unlimited by default, but may be restricted by the backup source product.

Regional Restrictions

The supported regions for cloud backup are as follows:

East China 2 (Shanghai)	cn-shanghai
South China 1 (Guangzhou)	cn-guangzhou

Operation Restrictions

Actions	Restriction description
Manual backup	The target backup source cannot have ongoing backup or restore tasks. The maximum number of backup tasks (restore points) that can be created per single backup source is limited by the backup source product. Before performing a manual backup, please confirm the number of restore points does not exceed the quota. No active backup or restore tasks are allowed under the target backup source.
Remove backup source	Only backup sources with status Available or Error can be removed.
Create backup plan	The maximum number of backup tasks (restore points) that can be created for a single backup source is limited by the backup source product. Before creating a backup plan, confirm that the number of restore points does not exceed the quota. A backup source can only be associated with one backup plan at a time.
Edit restore point name	The target recovery point cannot be in an error state.
Restore data	The target recovery point must be in available status. No ongoing backup or recovery tasks can exist under the related backup source.
Delete recovery point	Only recovery points in available or error states support deletion.
