Remove ECS local file backup source
This article describes the steps and considerations for removing the ECS local file backup source in the CBR console.
Tip
The ECS local file backup service is currently in invitation-only testing. Contact your account manager to be added to the whitelist for access.
- The target file backup source must exist; otherwise, create the file backup source first.
- The target file backup source status must be Available or Error. Backup sources with statuses Removing, Backing up, or Restoring cannot be removed.
- Removing the backup source also deletes all related restore points, including manual and automatic restore points. Any related automatic backup tasks will stop working.
- Deleting the backup source is not allowed if restore points exist. Attempting to delete it will cause an error.
- Once the backup source is removed, the backup data cannot be recovered.
- In the top navigation bar, select the target region.
- In the left navigation bar, select Public Cloud Backup > Backup Source Management > ECS Local Files.
- On the ECS Local File Backup Source Management page, click Remove in the Actions column to the right of the target backup source.
- In the pop-up Remove Backup Source dialog, click Confirm.
