Managing recovery points

Modify recovery point name

A recovery point is the backup data produced by executing a backup task on the backup source once. This document explains how to view and modify the recovery point name on the CBR console, including operational steps and precautions.

Prerequisites

The target recovery point exists and is not in an error state.

Precautions

The initial name of an automatic backup recovery point is generated by the system and includes the autobackup_ prefix. The name of a manual backup recovery point is specified by you during manual backup and includes the manualbackup_ prefix.

Recovery point name prefixes cannot be modified.

Steps

Select the target region in the top navigation bar.

Select Restore Point Management in the left navigation bar to enter the restore point management page.

In the list, hover over the target backup point name and click the corresponding Edit icon.

Enter the new name in the pop-up window.

Click Confirm.
