Billing overview
This article explains the billing details for CBR.
- No charges incur if no backup operation is performed after activating CBR.
- CBR itself does not generate fees. Its use depends on the backup and storage configurations of the source product, and the fees are charged by the source product and the backup storage space.
- The cost of ECS instance backup is charged by the snapshot service. See Snapshot billing for the snapshot service billing method.
Tip
The ECS local file backup service is currently in closed beta. Contact your account manager to add your account into allowlist if you need to use it.

vePFS file system backup
Tip

Tip
D2C backup is currently in closed beta. To use it, contact your account manager for allowlist access.
- Backing up to cloud with D2C requires deploying D2C software in the user data center. Before purchasing D2C, communicate with the account manager and schedule the D2C software deployment time with an engineer (remote deployment supported).
- The billable item for D2C backup is the backup service package, which supports storage capacity for data backed up through D2C.
- The backup service package uses a prepaid model and can be stacked.
- The backup service package supports renewal (contact the account manager before renewal to discuss the extension of the D2C software capacity license).
