Pay-as-you-go
Pay-as-you-go is a postpaid billing method where payment occurs after resource usage. You are not required to purchase resources in advance, and can enable or release resources at any time according to demand.
Pay-as-you-go is designed for short-term business needs. You can disable resources at any time when they are no longer required, and charges will cease right afterwards.
- You need to create a Volcano Engine account and complete real-name authentication before you can use the resources of the database workshop (DBW). For account registration and real-name authentication methods, refer to Account registration and Real-name authentication.
- When enabling the DBW function, the total value of your account balance (i.e. cash balance) and vouchers must not be less than RMB 100.
For pay-as-you-go (excluding service suspensions due to payment arrears), the billing period spans the entire service lifecycle: charges begin upon enabling and cease immediately upon disabling.
Pay-as-you-go is billed based on actual usage with an hourly settlement cycle. The system processes payments precisely at the top of each hour (UTC+8). Should your available account balance (including both cash credit and vouchers) become insufficient to cover the pending charges, you will receive low-balance notifications via SMS or email.
