GPU public image and driver maintenance cycle
When using a GPU instance, understanding the lifecycle and technical support plans for images and GPU drivers helps you choose the right versions for your business. This ensures long-term stable operation and lowers maintenance costs resulting from discontinued services for operating systems and GPU drivers.
This topic describes the lifecycle and end-of-support plans for GPU public images and GPU drivers provided by VolcanoEngine.
tip
If an operating system version or GPU driver reaches End of Life (EOL), VolcanoEngine will discontinue technical support for the corresponding instance.
- veLinux is an operating system officially provided by the VolcanoEngine platform. After its EOL, the VolcanoEngine platform will still endeavor to provide technical support.
- For other commercial or open-source operating system images provided by third parties, if the third party stops their support or maintenance (EOL), the VolcanoEngine platform will also stop providing corresponding technical support.
- GPU drivers are provided by the original manufacturer. VolcanoEngine will discontinue corresponding technical support once the original manufacturer ceases support or maintenance (EOL).
