Billing notes

This topic describes detailed billing rules for each billing item of the Transit Router (TR).

Tip

Before purchasing TR resources, ensure your account meets the purchase prerequisites.

Intra-region charges

Intra-region charges include the attachment fee and the traffic processing fee. The specific billing formulas are shown in the table below.

Attachment fee	Pay-as-you-go	Attachment fee = Attachment unit price (CNY/attachment/hour) x Attachment counts (attachments) x Usage duration (hours)	Attachment count refers to the number of network instance attachments connected to the TR during a billing period. Usage duration refers to the total time that a network instance attachment is used, measured from its successful creation until its successful release. Any usage lasting less than one hour is rounded up to one hour. tip Adding or removing network instance attachments will change the attachment fee. The amount on the bill shall prevail.
Traffic processing fee	Pay-as-you-go		Traffic processing fee = Processing unit price (CNY/GB) x Inbound traffic (GB)	Inbound traffic refers to the traffic from network instance attachments forwarded into the TR instance. It represents the sum of all traffic originating from network instances connected to the TR. tip Adding or removing attachment points will change the traffic processing fee. The amount on the bill shall prevail.

Cross-region charges

Connect TRs in two regions to enable private network communication across regions. This interconnect incurs cross-region charges, which are billed either as: Subscription (cross-region bandwidth package) or Pay-by-data-transfer.

Pay-by-data-transfer	--	Cross-region traffic fee = Cross-region traffic unit price x Egress traffic	Egress traffic Within the same account: Cloud Data Transfer (CDT) measures the sum of egress traffic from both TRs across the two regions. Across accounts: CDT measures egress traffic from each account's TR independently. Cross-region traffic fees are charged by CDT to the account that owns each end of the TR.

Billing examples

This topic takes a Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) attachment as an example. Billing for VPN and Direct Connect Gateway attachments is similar.

Example 1: Intra-region

Customer A uses a TR to enable interconnection and isolation among three VPCs in China (Beijing). Usage details are as follows:

Assume that the attachment unit price is 0.35 CNY/attachment/hour and the traffic unit price is 0.13 CNY/GB. Fees are as follows:

Example 2: Cross-region (Subscription)

Customer A connects VPCs between China (Beijing) and China (Shanghai) via TR, and purchases a 1,200 Mbps cross-region bandwidth package for one month on December 10. Usage details are as follows:

Cross-region bandwidth package fee

Assuming the bandwidth unit price is CNY 220.00/Mbps/month for up to 100 Mbps, CNY 80.00/Mbps/month for 101-1,000 Mbps, and CNY 50.00/Mbps/month for over 1,000 Mbps. Fees are as follows:

Total monthly cost

Total monthly cost = Sum of Intra-region attachment and traffic processing fees + Cross-region bandwidth package fee = 599.85 CNY + 104,000 CNY = 104,599.85 CNY.

Example 3: Cross-region (Pay-by-data-transfer)

Customer A connects VPCs between China (Beijing) and China (Shanghai) via TR. Cross-region traffic is billed by data volume. Usage details are as follows:

Assuming the cross-region traffic unit price is 0.48 CNY/GB. Fees are as follows:
