Associate file systems
After creating a mount service, the mount service cluster operates independently and can be bound to one or more vePFS file systems. Once binding is complete, the compute nodes in the cluster can access and store data.
Notice

Limit
Note
Quantity limit
  • A single vePFS file system can be bound to a maximum of 5 mount services.
  • A single mount service can be bound to up to 10 vePFS file systems.
  • A maximum of 2 vePFS file systems can be created in the same region under a single account. If you need to create more than 2 file systems in the same region, go to Quota Center and submit your request.
vePFS file systems
  • If your vePFS file system needs to be associated with multiple mount services, all mount services must be in the same VPC.
  • For optimal performance, place vePFS file systems and mount services in the same Availability Zone.
  • One mount service does not support access to multiple Intelligent_Computing_Edition file systems via RDMA.
  • You cannot perform binding-related actions when the file system is expanding, being deleted, or in other states.
  • When binding a file system, all nodes in the mount service cluster must have a status of active, and the key file must be intact. Otherwise, the binding action cannot be performed.
Mount service
After the mount service is created, the system automatically creates three ECS instances to manage the client cluster. Do not modify the initial password of the management nodes and ensure the instances can be accessed normally.
Version number
Only associate file systems whose first two version numbers are less than or equal to the mount service version number. For example, a mount service with version 1.3.0 supports associating file systems of 1.3.X or lower, and does not support associating file systems of 1.4.X or higher. For more details, see Version compatibility rules.

Prerequisites
Steps
  1. Log in to the vePFS Console.
  1. In the top menu bar, select the region of the file system you want to manage.
  1. In the left navigation pane, click File System > Mount Service.
  1. In the Actions column of the target mount service, click Bind File System.
  1. Set the following parameters in the Bind File System dialog box.
  •
    Parameter
    Note
    File system
Select the name of the file system to associate from the dropdown list.
    warning
    • Only associate file systems in the same VPC as the mount service.
    • The first two version numbers of the file system to associate should be less than or equal to the first two version numbers of the mount service.
    Mount path
Set the default mount directory for the vePFS file system. If left blank, the file system ID will be used as the default.
    warning
If you need to set a custom mount path, the parent directory must exist and the subdirectory must not yet be created.

  1. Click OK.
warning
Binding the file system to the mount service takes some time. Please be patient.
