Directory tree
The directory tree tab in the analysis dashboard displays the directory capacity and distribution data of the file system, including usage trends, file size distribution, and access time distribution. This article describes how to view the directory tree data in the analysis dashboard.
The analysis dashboard feature has been enabled for the target file system. For detailed actions, see Enable analysis dashboard. - In the top menu bar, select the region of the file system you want to manage.
- In the left navigation bar, click Data Insight.
- On the Analysis Dashboard page, select Analysis Dashboard > Directory Tree tab.
- (Optional) You can filter the directory data you want to view using the following methods.
tip
The Directory Tree tab displays the directory data from the file systems with the Analysis Dashboard enabled and the most recent creation times over the past seven days under all Availability Zones in the current region by default.
- Select the specified file system in the specified Availability Zone and File System dropdown menus to view data.
- Enter the directory you want to view in the specified file system in the Directory text box to view the data for that directory. Fill in the information as follows:
- Enter the absolute path for the directory in the file system.
- The directory path must start with a forward slash (/).
- View directory tree-related data.
- Directory Tree: Includes Complete Directory Tree and Favorite Directory.
Complete Directory Tree
Favorites directory
Display all directory names and used capacity based on the specified filter criteria.
- Click the expand icon to the left of the directory name to open subdirectories.
- Click the copy icon to the right of the directory name to copy that directory.
- Click the favorite icon to the right of the directory name to add the directory to favorites. The icon turning yellow means it's saved as a favorite and will appear under the favorite directory tab.
Display the names of directories that have been favorited based on the specified filter criteria.
- Click the expand icon to the left of the directory name to open subdirectories.
- Click the copy icon to the right of the directory name to copy this directory.
- Click the favorite icon to the right of the directory name to remove it from favorites.
tip
Each file system can have up to 1,000 favorite directories.
- Usage trend: After clicking to select the target directory on the left directory tree dashboard, you can use select time range and display dimension to view the file capacity trend and file quantity trend for the target directory during the specified timeframe.

- Directory Used Capacity: Shows the used capacity of the target directory.
- Directory Capacity Trend: Shows the capacity trend for the target directory, including Capacity Change and Capacity Change Rate.
tip
- Click or hover over the line chart to view the used capacity, capacity change, or capacity change rate for the directory at the selected time.
- Click the legend below the line chart (Directory Used Capacity, Capacity Change, or Capacity Change Rate) to hide or show the corresponding line.
- Directory used file count: Displays the number of files used in the target directory.
- Directory file quantity change trend: Shows the change in file quantity in the target directory.
tip
- Click or hover the cursor over the line chart to view the used file count or file quantity change in the directory for the target time.
- Click the legend below the line chart (directory used file count or file quantity change) to hide or show the corresponding line.
- File size distribution: View the distribution of files in the target directory by file size.
- After clicking to select the target directory on the left directory tree dashboard, you can use configure intervals to view the file capacity ratio and file quantity ratio for the target directory.
Configure Range

File Quantity Proportion
Click Configure Ranges to open the File Size Range Configuration dialog box. After selecting a Recommended Plan (including General Plan, Large File Scenario Plan, or Small File Scenario Plan), the system will automatically fill in the file size ranges. You can also manually modify the range values. Range configuration instructions are as follows:
- The number of intervals must be between 2 and 10.
- Adjacent intervals must be continuous and non-overlapping.
- Interval boundary values must be integers, with left-closed and right-open intervals.
- The lower boundary of the first interval must be 0 and the upper boundary of the last interval must be positive infinity (+∞).
- The supported interval units are B, KiB, MiB, GiB, TiB, and PiB.
When you select Display Dimension as File Capacity Proportion, you can see the proportion of file capacity in each range out of the total capacity.
- Hover your cursor over the donut chart to view the file capacity and its proportion for that range.
- Click the legend below the donut chart to hide or show the corresponding file size range.
Select Display dimension and File quantity proportion to view the percentage of files in each interval relative to the total number.
- Hover the cursor over the ring chart to view the file count and its proportion in this interval.
- Click the legend below the donut chart to hide or show the corresponding file size range.
- Access time distribution: View the distribution of files in the target directory by last access time (AccessTime).
- After clicking to select the target directory on the left directory tree dashboard, you can use configure intervals to view the file capacity ratio and file quantity ratio for the target directory.

Click Configure Interval to open the Data Access Time Interval Configuration dialog. After selecting a Recommended Plan (including General Plan, Operations Monitoring Plan, and Cold Data Analysis Plan), the system automatically fills in the access time intervals. You can also manually adjust the interval values. Interval setting instructions:
- The number of intervals must be between 2 and 10.
- Adjacent intervals must be continuous and not overlap.
- Interval boundaries must be integers, with left-closed and right-open.
- The lower bound of the first interval must be 0, and the upper bound of the last interval must be positive infinity (+∞).
- The supported interval unit is days.
Select Display dimension and File capacity proportion to view the percentage of file capacity in each interval relative to the total capacity.
- Hover the cursor over the ring chart to view file capacity and its proportion in this interval.
- Click the legend below the ring chart to hide or show the corresponding access time interval.
When you select Display Dimension as File quantity proportion, you can view the ratio of files within each interval to the total number of files.
- Hover the cursor over the donut chart to view the number of files and their proportion in that segment.
- Click the legend below the donut chart to hide or show the corresponding access time intervals.
