Expanding file systems

Call the ExpandFileSystem API to expand the file system.

Request parameters

Only the unique request parameters of this interface and some general parameters are listed below. For more information, see General Parameters.

Action string required Example: ExpandFileSystem

The action to perform. Value: ExpandFileSystem.

Version string requiredExample value: 2022-01-01

The API version is 2022-01-01.

Capacity integer required Example: 200

The file system capacity after expansion, measured in TiB.

EnableRestripe boolean optional Example value: false

Whether to enable data balancing after expansion. The values are explained as follows:

true: Immediately enable data balancing after expansion.

false: Do not enable data balancing after expansion.

warning

Since the data balancing process consumes network and disk bandwidth on storage nodes, it may reduce the performance of the file system. Take caution when enabling this option. In addition, the duration of data balancing mainly depends on the volume of existing data.

FileSystemId string required Example: vepfs-cn01961fc43****

ID of the file system to expand.
