Manage Data Insights Policy
After creating a data insights policy, you can view policy details, copy content, and delete policies. This article explains how to manage data flow policies.
View basic policy information
- On the Custom Service tab, click the Policy tab.
- When viewing basic policy information, you can perform the following actions on this list page:
- Click the policy name in the Policy Name/ID column to enter the Overview tab, where you can view Basic Policy Information, Related Rule Information, and Policy Content.
- Click the rule name in the Rule Name/ID column to enter the Rule Library tab and view the rules used by the current policy.
- Click the file system name in the File System Name/ID column to enter the Overview tab for the associated file system and view its Basic Information.
- Click View Subtasks in the Export Tasks, Analysis Tasks, or Capacity Query Tasks columns to enter the Subtasks tab and view details for the corresponding subtasks under this policy.
Copy Data Insights Policy
- On the Custom Service tab, click the Policy tab.
- In the policy list, click Copy in the Actions column of the target policy.

View policy sub-task information
- On the Custom Service tab, click the Policy tab.
- In the policy list, click the target policy name.
- On the policy details page, click the Sub-task tab.
- View sub-task list information. You can perform the following actions on this list page:
- Click Rule Snapshot in the column and View Details to see the metric rule content used by this subtask.
- Click Export Task or Capacity Query Task in the column and Download to download the result file for the corresponding task type. For more information, see View Data Insight Results.
- Click Analysis Task in the column and View to further query, search, and visualize the task execution results. For specific operations, see Retrieve and Analyze Logs.
- Click Terminate in the Actions column to stop a subtask that is running.
- Click ... > Delete in the Actions column to remove the target subtask.
Create data flows based on tasks
After the subtask is completed under the data insight policy, you can create data flow tasks based on the task results. The system includes files generated by the Data Insight task in the Data Flow task as the file scope for subsequent data flow processes.
tip
- You can create a Data Flow task using this method only when the task status is completed and the result file is not empty.
- Tasks with other statuses do not support this operation, and the Data Flow option will be grayed out and unavailable.
- On the Custom Service tab, click the Policy tab.
- Click the name of the policy in the policy list.
- On the policy details page, click the Subtask tab.
- In the Actions column for the target subtask, click Data Management > Data Flow.
- On the Create Data Flow Task page, configure the relevant parameters as needed. For details, see Create Manual Tasks.
Cancel Data Insight policy
tip
Only policies with the status Running can be cancelled.
- On the Custom Services tab, click the Policy tab.
- In the policy list, click ... > Cancel in the Actions column of the target policy.
- In the Cancel Policy dialog box, click Cancel Policy.
Delete Data Insight Policy
tip
- Only policies with the status Cancelled can be deleted.
- If the file system associated with this policy has other related Data Insight configurations, to ensure that the analysis policy operates properly, the corresponding log topic will be retained when deleting the policy, and you cannot choose whether to delete the log topic.
- Log topics continue to incur storage fees. It is recommended to delete any log topics no longer needed.
- On the Custom Services tab, click the Policy tab.
- In the policy list, click ... > Cancel in the Actions column for the target policy.
- In the Delete policy dialog, perform the following actions as needed:
- If the file system associated with this policy is also linked to other Data Insight configurations, you can only select Delete policy.
- If the file system associated with this policy is no longer linked to other Data Insight configurations, you can choose Delete this policy only or Delete this policy and Log Topic.
