Editing object permissions
This topic explains how to edit the access permissions or access control list (ACL) policy for a single object.
Object permissions
The following options are available for object permissions:

Permission
Description
Inherit bucket
Private
This is the default option. Only the object owner and authorized accounts have read and write permissions. This is also the recommended setting.
Public read
All users have read access to the object and will incur data transfer charges. Allowing all users to read the object can cause data leaks and financial losses. We recommend selecting "Private" instead.
Public read/write
All users have full read and write access to the object and will incur data transfer charges. Allowing all users to read and write the object can cause data leaks and financial losses. We recommend selecting "Private" instead.

Steps
  1. Log in to the TOS console.
  1. In the left navigation pane, click Buckets.
  1. In the top menu bar, select the project of the bucket you want to manage.
  1. On the Buckets page, click the name of the bucket.
  1. On the Objects page, select ··· > Modify Access Permission in the Actions column of the object you want to manage.
  1. In the box that appears, select the desired Access permission. Then, click Save.
