Associating instance with DDH
Associating an ECS instance with a DDH means the instance will be permanently deployed on that specific DDH. That is, when such an instance in Economical Mode restarts, it will still be deployed on the same DDH. This feature helps you maintain your instance deployment plan.
You can associate an instance with a DDH when you create the instance. For more information, see Creating ECS instance on DDH. You can also refer to the steps in this topic to associate a DDH with an existing instance. Prerequisites
Procedure
- In the top menu bar, select the region where your business is located.
- On the DDH list page, click the target host to go to its details page. Select the "Associated instances" tab, and then click the "Change host deployment" button in the "Actions" column of the target instance.
- In the dialog box that appears, select whether to associate the instance with the host. This applies to instances with Economical Mode enabled.
- If you associate an instance in Economical Mode with a host, when the instance restarts, it will still be deployed on the original host. If the available resources on the original host are insufficient, the restart will fail.
- If you do not associate an instance in Economical Mode with a host, when the instance restarts, it will be preferentially migrated to a host that supports automatic deployment. If the restart fails, it will restart on the original host.
- Click the "Confirm" button to complete the operation.
