Trigger overview
A trigger is the traffic entry point that triggers the function logic. Based on a set of rules, it triggers the execution of the function. veFaaS supports the following triggers:
Timer trigger
A Timer trigger periodically triggers function code execution by using Crontab syntax.
APIG trigger
An APIG trigger triggers function code execution by using the public or private HTTP/HTTPS traffic access method of the APIG product.
TOS trigger
veFaaS allows you to write functions to handle event changes in TOS. When you use a TOS trigger, veFaaS listens for events in the specified TOS Bucket and passes events that meet specified conditions to the user function. This triggers function code execution.
MQ trigger
veFaaS allows you to write functions to process messages received from the message queue. veFaaS consumes messages from the specified topic in the message queue and passes the messages to the user function. This triggers function code execution.
veFaaS provides three types of MQ triggers. You can select an appropriate one based on your business requirements and preferences.
TLS trigger
veFaaS allows you to write functions to consume data from TLS. veFaaS consumes messages from the specified log project and passes the messages to the user function. This triggers function code execution.
