veFaaS has Volcano Engine Cloud Monitor integrated to enable observability of function performance metrics. You can view the performance metrics for a selected time range on the Monitoring tab of the function details page. These metrics can help you monitor whether the function runs as expected.
tip
- Click View more metrics to view the monitoring dashboard for the function in the Cloud Monitor console.
- Click Create alert strategy to create an alert policy for the function in the Cloud Monitor console. When a metric meets the trigger condition for an alert, the system will send an alert notification through your specified method. This helps you promptly identify service exceptions. For specific operations, see Creating alert policies.
Basic metrics
Function QPS
Displays the number of times each function revision is triggered per second during the sampling period.
For example, the chart above shows the per-second execution frequency for revision 1 of the function over the last 1 hour.
Function Latency
Represents request processing time per function revision within the sampling period:
- P99: Indicates the request processing time ranking at the 99th percentile in ascending order within the specified sampling period.
- P90: Indicates the request processing time ranking at the 90th percentile in ascending order within the specified sampling period.
- P50: Indicates the request processing time ranking at the 50th percentile in ascending order within the specified sampling period.
- Avg: Indicates the average processing time of all requests within the specified sampling period.
Function Error QPS
Shows error rates per second by function revision and error type within the specified sampling period.
Errors are categorized into two types: internal and user.
- internal: Internal system errors. For these errors, submit a ticket to technical support.
- user: User-side errors. Troubleshoot these errors based on the specific error code.
Function Internet Outbound Traffic
Displays the outbound Internet traffic within the specified sampling period.
Function CPU usage
Displays the average CPU usage per function revision within the sampling period. The value is the average usage of all instances under each revision.
Function Memory Usage
Displays the memory usage of each function revision within the sampling period. The value is the average usage of all instances under each revision.
Memory usage rate = Actual memory consumed / Maximum allocated memory
Function Instances
Displays the number of instances per function revision within the sampling period.
GPU metrics
For GPU-enabled functions, the following additional GPU metrics are provided.
Function GPU graphics memory usage
Displays the graphics memory used by each function revision within the sampling period. The value is the average single-GPU graphics memory usage of all instances under each revision.
Function GPU graphics memory utilization
Displays the GPU graphics memory utilization of each function revision within the sampling period. The value is the average single-GPU graphics memory utilization of all instances under each revision.
GPU graphics memory utilization = Graphics memory used / Total single-GPU graphics memory capacity
Function GPU usage
Displays the GPU core utilization of each GPU function revision within the sampling period. The value is the average single-GPU core utilization of all instances under each revision.
