E2B compatibility
The cloud sandbox of veFaaS is compatible with the E2B protocol at the API layer, and supports dynamically injecting the Envd runtime into any sandbox image. This allows business applications to directly use the official E2B SDK without image modification. This topic describes the compatibility scope of the veFaaS cloud sandbox with the E2B official SDK.
Background information
E2B is a code execution sandbox protocol designed for AI Agents and LLM applications. It provides an isolated cloud runtime environment that allows Agents to safely execute code, run terminal commands, read and write files, and access container ports. The goal of E2B is to standardize code execution environments, preventing developers from designing a set of container scheduling, isolation, and lifecycle management logic for each Agent scenario.
Integration method
For the method of integrating E2B applications with the veFaaS cloud sandbox, see Integrating sandbox applications with the E2B protocol.
