Preparations
This topic describes the preparations for using the veFaaS CLI, such as system compatibility, development environment, and account authorization.
System compatibility
  • We recommend using macOS or Linux environments.
  • The CLI delivers built-in cross-platform compatibility. Windows users can run it directly in PowerShell or CMD. To execute complex build commands, we recommend using Git Bash or WSL.
Development environment
A Python and Node.js development environment that meets the version requirements has been installed. Check the development environment version using the following methods.
  • Node.js: v20.0.0 or later.
  • Python: v3.12.0 or later.

node -v
> v22.14.0
python -V
> Python 3.12.8

Account authorization
  • You have enabled cross-service authorization in the veFaaS console. The veFaaSFullAccess policy has been granted to the IAM user. If the preceding policy is not attached, contact the root user or administrator for authorization. For specific operations, see Creating and authorizing users.
