Starting or stopping apps
Microservices apps can be stopped or started with one click. This allows you to easily start or stop applications as needed to help efficiently control resource consumption. This topic describes how to start and stop applications.
Stop applications
You can stop an application with one click. After an application is stopped, the system destroys all its instances. The service associated with the application will be disrupted, and billing on the created resources will stop. The system retains the basic configuration for the components to facilitate quick startup later.
warning
  • A stopped application cannot be released. To release the application, start the application in advance.
  • Autoscaling does not apply to stopped applications.
  1. Log in to the veFaaS console.
  1. In the top navigation pane, select the region where your business is located.
  1. In the function list, find the target function and click its name.
  1. In the upper-right corner of the function details page, click Disable.
  1. In the pop-up confirmation box, click Stop.

Start applications

After an application is started, the system restores the application based on the online revision configuration, creates the minimum number of instances configured in resource management, and begins billing. After a successful startup, the service associated with the application can be used normally.
