How to set the timeout for a function?
The timeout setting for a function is divided into the following two scenarios:
  • In the scenario where a client invokes the function, it refers to the maximum duration for the function to execute the request.
  1. Log in to the veFaaS console. In the top navigation bar, select the region where your business is located.
  1. On the function list page, click the name of the target function, and then switch to the configuration page of that function.
  1. Click Edit, and then set the execution timeout.
  • In the scenario where the function calls a downstream service, it refers to the maximum duration for the downstream service to execute the request.
  • You need to implement the relevant logic in your code. http.Client has no default timeout. If you do not configure a timeout, the function will wait indefinitely until a response or error is returned.
