Enabling log delivery
veFaaS uses Volcano Engine TLS to provide log management capabilities. If you enable logging for a function, you can query execution logs of the function directly in the veFaaS console. This topic describes how to enable log delivery.
warning
Be cautious when changing the log project and log topic. If you change the log project and topic, you can no longer query logs delivered to the original log topic under the original log project.
Prerequisites
If you need to deliver function logs to a custom log store, ensure that you have activated Volcano Engine TLS and created the required TLS resources. For details, see Creating log projects and Creating log topics.
Procedure
You can enable log delivery in two scenarios:
  • During function creation
  • When you create the function, in the Advanced settings section, enable logging to deliver logs to TLS. For detailed steps, see Creating functions.
  • After function creation (with logging not enabled)
  1. Log in to the veFaaS console, and in the top navigation bar, select the region where your function is located.
  1. In the function list, click the name of the function to enter the Function settings page.
  1. In the function configuration area, click Edit. Enable logging to deliver function invocation logs to TLS.
tip
veFaaS allows you to deliver logs to the default log project or a custom log project.
  • Default log project
  • If you select "Default log project", logs will be delivered to the log topic tls-vefaas-logstore under the default veFaaS log project tls-vefaas.
  • Custom log project
  • If you select "Custom log store", logs will be delivered to the specified log topic under the specified log project.
