Overview
This topic describes the runtime environment, development methods, log collection, and deployment procedures for Native Python functions (hereinafter referred to as "Native Python functions").
Runtime environment
The Native Python runtime enables developers to develop Web applications by using native Python HTTP frameworks.
Development languages
The Native Python runtime has the following built-in Python versions. You do not need to install a third-party interpreter when using one of the following versions.
To use a Python version other than the above ones, use image-based deployment available for the Native Runtime. Specifically, you need to import the runtime for the corresponding development language into the Dockerfile to include it in the image, and deploy the application function using the image. The following content provides an example of importing a runtime environment for a programming language into a Dockerfile.
Container environment
The container environment of the Native Python runtime is as follows:
- Operating system version: Debian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye).
Filesystem restrictions
Write access is limited to the /tmp directory within containers. The default temporary storage capacity is 512 MiB. Exceeding this limit will cause the service to be evicted and restarted.
tip
Data written locally is non-persistent and will be deleted upon container destruction. Be cautious when using temporary storage. For persistent storage, see Function storage options.
