Billing overview
This article describes billing details related to Function as a Service (veFaaS), including billing types, billing items, overdue payments, and unsubscription, and other billing information.
Billing type

Billing type
Description
(Default billing type) A postpaid billing method. You do not need to purchase massive resources in advance, and you can activate and release resources on demand anytime. You only need to pay for the veFaaS resources actually used.
(Optional billing type) A package is a discount package launched for different billing items by the Function as a Service. This is a prepaid billing method. Currently the package provides function call packages, vCPU packages, and GPU packages, which are used respectively to deduct the corresponding billing items.
After you purchase packages, you can enjoy an equivalent amount of resources with more preferential prices, and thus you can reduce your expenses.

tip
Volcano Engine also provides a Price calculator, through which you can configure the specifications of the billing items to estimate the fees in business scenarios. The price calculator only offers reference prices. For detailed payments, refer to the result of the actual orders of the Function as a Service (veFaaS) console.
Unsubscription
  • Deleting a function is equivalent to unsubscribing from a function. After subscription, the function instances will be immediately released/destroyed.
  • If the packages purchased are not used in 7 days, you can have a refund for no reason in 7 days. For detailed description of unsubscription, refer to Unsubscription instructions.
Overdue payments
After the payments are overdue, the normal operation of the function might be affected. Recharge timely. For description of overdue payments, refer to Overdue description.
View bill
In the Function as a Service console, click Billing > Bill management on the top navigation bar to jump to the Bill details page of the Billing center. You can view the bills and consumption details related to the Function as a Service, and thus learn about consumption.
For specific operations, refer to Bill management.
Voucher
A voucher is an account asset given to the users by the Volcano Engine. A voucher can be used to deduct the bill amount of the postpaid products and the order amount of the prepaid products.
For more information, refer to Voucher management.
