Activating complimentary ArkClaw from ModelArk Playground

If the ArkClaw you obtained as a complimentary benefit from ModelArk Playground has expired, the service will stop running. After expiration, related data will be retained for 7 days. During this period, you can quickly activate your ArkClaw in the ArkClaw console as instructed below to restore the service.

tip

The ArkClaw instance claimed or created in ModelArk Playground can also be viewed and managed in the ArkClaw console. The default name is ArkClaw.

Limits

Only ArkClaw granted with an ModelArk Agent Plan/Coding Plan subscription can be activated.

Any ArkClaw instance created with one click in the ArkClaw console cannot be activated. After the service expires, you can renew it to restore normal usage.

ArkClaw activation rules	Prerequisites for activation	The complimentary ArkClaw included with Agent Plan subscriptions can only be activated 24 hours after expiration.
ArkClaw activation rules		Benefit renewal	If your ArkClaw is still within its validity period or has expired for less than 24 hours, you can renew Agent Plan separately to extend the corresponding ArkClaw benefits. Example: You have obtained a 30-day ArkClaw trial benefit via subscribing to Agent Plan, and this benefit will expire in 5 days. Now, you can renew your Agent Plan directly. The validity period of ArkClaw will be extended automatically, and you do not need to reactivate it after expiration.
Coding Plan Pro benefit rules	Benefit adjustments	Starting from 12:00, May 18, 2026, subscriptions to the Coding Plan Pro package will no longer include free ArkClaw trial benefits.
		Historical benefits	ArkClaw granted with a Coding Plan Pro subscription before 12:00 on May 18, 2026 will not be affected by the benefit adjustments. Its validity period will remain consistent with Coding Plan Pro.
		Benefit renewal	If you renew the Coding Plan Pro package during the validity period of your current package, the validity period of ArkClaw will be extended accordingly.
Package upgrade	-	If the current ArkClaw has not expired or has expired for less than 24 hours, you can upgrade Coding Plan Pro to Agent Plan to retain ArkClaw-related benefits.
Discount use	-	The limited-time first purchase discount can only be used once. If this benefit has already been applied to your current activation, any subsequent purchase of a dedicated ArkClaw instance will be charged at the standard price, and the first-purchase discount will no longer be available.

Procedure

Switch to the target ArkClaw page (default name: ArkClaw), and click the Claw details page icon in the upper-right corner of the page.

On the ArkClaw details page, select the “Status and usage” tab, then click the “... > Activate” button.

Configure the following information by referring to the table below.

Separate activation (ArkClaw only)

If you want to continue using the models from the ModelArk Agent Plan large model subscription package to provide inference services for ArkClaw, you can subscribe to Agent Plan when activating ArkClaw.

warning

You cannot subscribe to and activate the Agent Plan Max package when activating ArkClaw. You need to subscribe to it separately.

Subscription duration	Select a subscription duration. Currently, only 1 month and 6 months are supported. Please select based on your needs.
Package specification	The ArkClaw you created in the ModelArk Playground is the Starter edition. You can select the specification for the activated ArkClaw as needed. Supported: Starter: For basic personal agent use, meeting initial exploration and entry-level needs. Standard: For personal workflow integration, meeting daily work and life needs. Premium: For scenarios such as One Person Company (OPC), with multi-concurrent step reasoning and tool interaction capabilities. This edition currently only supports Coding Plan Pro.
Subscribe to Agent Plan large model benefits	Check "Subscribe to Agent Plan large model benefits" and select "Small", "Medium", or "Large" from the drop-down list. You can obtain entitled ArkClaw for free by subscribing to Agent Plan Medium, Large, or Max. The expiration date of the entitled ArkClaw will match that of your subscribed Agent Plan. You will not obtain entitled ArkClaw for free by subscribing to Agent Plan Small. You can purchase ArkClaw separately based on your needs. tip The applicable scenarios for different Agent Plan editions are as follows. Please select an edition as needed. Learn more. Small (Coding Plan Small): For medium-intensity development tasks, suitable for most developers. Medium (Coding Plan Medium): For complex project development, suitable for developers with high-intensity workloads. Large (Coding Plan Large): For ultra-large projects, complex multi-task collaboration and advanced intelligent business scenarios, suitable for professional teams and senior developers for in-depth usage.
Service rules and related agreement	Read and agree to the related service rules and program agreement of ArkClaw, and then check "I have read and agree to the ArkClaw service rules and User Experience Improvement Program Agreement".
Automatic renewal	Select whether to enable automatic renewal upon expiration. Enable automatic renewal: If automatic renewal is enabled, ArkClaw will be automatically renewed for 1 month by default. The platform will deduct the fee for the next month of the current package when ArkClaw expires. We recommend that you enable automatic renewal to prevent service suspension upon expiration and ensure uninterrupted usage. warning Activation and renewal are for ArkClaw only and do not include Coding Plan. Disable automatic renewal (default): If automatic renewal is not enabled, you can manually renew ArkClaw after it expires.

If you do not need to use the models from the Agent Plan/Coding Plan large model subscription package to provide inference services for ArkClaw, you can activate ArkClaw only.

After activating ArkClaw, you can connect it to third-party models. You may also call and run inferences with the Doubao-Seed-2.0-lite model bundled with the free token quota provided by the platform.

After confirming the information is correct, click the "Pay now" button to submit the activation request.

On the payment page, confirm the order and amount information, select a payment method, and click "Pay now" to complete the payment.

Upon successful payment, your ArkClaw will be activated. You may then resume chats and use it normally.
