Managing ArkClaw

Expanding ArkClaw storage capacity

You can expand the storage capacity of your ArkClaw by purchasing capacity packages. All original data is retained during expansion. No data is lost. When ArkClaw runs low on storage, you can purchase a capacity package as needed to increase total storage.

Limits

Limit item	Description
Expansion	Storage expansion is not available for the free trial version of ArkClaw (default name: ArkClaw) included with an Agent Plan or Coding Plan subscription. To expand capacity, complete activation first. You can add up to 200 GiB per expansion. If you have already reached the maximum capacity tier, further expansion is not supported. tip Capacity cannot be reduced after expansion takes effect. Purchased capacity packages cannot be downgraded or reduced. Choose the expansion specification carefully.
Validity period	The validity period of a capacity package is synchronized with its associated ArkClaw. This means the expiration time of the capacity package is the same as ArkClaw. When you purchase a capacity package, the system automatically calculates the actual available days based on the remaining validity period of ArkClaw. Example: Suppose the expiration date of your ArkClaw is June 10, 2026, and you purchase a capacity package on May 12, 2026. Then: Capacity package expiration time: June 10, 2026 (same as ArkClaw). Actual purchase (available) days: 29 days (formula: end date - start date = actual available days).
Renewal/unsubscription	Capacity packages do not support independent renewal or unsubscription. The capacity package lifecycle is consistent with the associated ArkClaw. When you renew or unsubscribe from the target ArkClaw, the associated capacity package is updated at the same time. No separate action is required.

Billing rules for capacity packages

Purchase type	Description
First purchase	When you purchase an ArkClaw capacity package for the first time, the fee is prorated by day based on the remaining validity period of ArkClaw. Fee calculation formula: fee = (actual purchase duration × 12) × monthly price of the capacity package / 365 Actual purchase duration: The number of available days of the capacity package, which is the days between the ArkClaw expiration date and the purchase date. Capacity package monthly price: the monthly unit price corresponding to the selected capacity specification.
Non-first purchase	For subsequent purchases (upgrading an existing capacity package to a higher specification), you pay only the price difference between the new and old packages for the remaining validity period. Fee calculation formula: payable amount for the upgrade order = payable amount for the new specification - the remaining value of the previous specification Calculation method for the remaining value of the previous specification: the remaining value of the previous specification = original order value × (remaining duration of the original order/purchase duration of the original order) tip You pay the price difference for upgrades. The actual fee displayed on your bill shall prevail. The duration unit is accurate to seconds to ensure accurate calculation of the remaining value of the previous specification.

Procedure

Switch to the target ArkClaw page and click the Claw details page icon in the upper-right corner.

Select the "Status and usage" tab and "··· > Expand" in sequence.

Select the target capacity specification for expansion. The available expansion specifications depend on whether this is the first expansion of the current ArkClaw.

tip

The capacity package is added on top of the current base capacity (the default capacity included when you purchased ArkClaw). For example, if the base capacity is 60 GiB and you select a 20 GiB package, the total capacity will be 80 GiB.

First expansion

For the first disk expansion of the target ArkClaw, you can select 20 GiB, 60 GiB, 100 GiB, or 200 GiB.

Non-first expansion

If the target ArkClaw already has a capacity package, you can only upgrade the existing package to a higher specification during any further expansion. You cannot select a specification lower than or equal to the current one. For example, if you have purchased a 20 GiB capacity package, you can choose only 60 GiB, 100 GiB, or 200 GiB for the next expansion.

After you read and agree to the relevant ArkClaw expansion limits and service rules, click the "Pay now" button to enter the payment page.

On the payment page, confirm the order and amount information, select a payment method, and click "Pay now" to complete the payment.

After payment succeeds, you can click the "Enter chat" button to continue interacting with ArkClaw.

tip

ArkClaw disk expansion is expected to take about 1 to 2 minutes. Please wait patiently.

Subsequent steps

After expansion completes, the new capacity is added to the total ArkClaw capacity automatically. You can view it in the "Storage usage" area. For details, refer to Viewing ArkClaw status and usage.

For your ArkClaw whose storage capacity has been expanded, the capacity package validity period is extended automatically when you renew ArkClaw. No separate action is required.
