TOS billing instructions
The fast file transfer feature uses a TOS bucket as a cloud disk. You are charged for each billing item separately. For example, you are charged for storage capacity when you store files. You are charged for the number of requests when you perform read and write operations on files. You are charged for public network traffic when you access files stored in TOS over the public network.
Fee composition
In the example provided in this section, a Standard TOS bucket is used in the China (Beijing) region and no resource packages are purchased. The basic billing items are as follows:
tip
  • A resource package is a discount package offered by TOS for different billing items. It is irrelevant to the files you store, and is only used to offset the usage fees incurred during your use of TOS.
  • If you use other features provided by TOS beyond regular storage, or have purchased resource pacages, you can refer to the following documents for billing rules:
  • For unit prices of billing items in different regions, see Pricing.

Storage
Standard storage capacity fee
Pay-as-you-go: Hourly storage capacity fee = Storage capacity (GiB) × Monthly unit price ÷ 30 (days) ÷ 24 (hours)
Standard storage files are subject to a minimum measurement unit. For files smaller than 64 KiB, if the number of small files in a region reaches 1 billion or more, each small file will be calculated as 64 KiB for capacity. If the number is less than 1 billion, capacity will be calculated based on the actual size of each small file.
Traffic

Public network outbound traffic
Pay-as-you-go: Public network outbound traffic fee = Public network outbound traffic (GB) × Unit price per GB
Traffic generated when data is transmitted from TOS to clients over the public network.

Public network inbound traffic
Free
Traffic generated when data is transmitted from clients to TOS over the Internet.

Private network outbound traffic
Free
Traffic generated when data is transmitted from TOS to clients over the VolcanoEngine private network.

Private network inbound traffic
Free
Traffic generated when data is transmitted from clients to TOS over the VolcanoEngine private network.

CDN back-to-origin traffic
Pay-as-you-go: CDN back-to-origin traffic fee = CDN back-to-origin traffic (GB) × Unit price per GB
Downstream traffic generated when VolcanoEngine CDN or DCDN pulls data from TOS.
  • Traffic generated by back-to-origin requests to TOS is billed as CDN back-to-origin traffic only when the origin type is TOS or the origin domain name is the default domain name of TOS. In all other scenarios, such traffic is billed as public network traffic.
  • Traffic generated by back-to-origin requests to TOS via VolcanoEngine CDN and VolcanoEngine DCDN follows the same billing item and billing method: Both are billed as CDN back-to-origin traffic and can be offset using CDN back-to-origin resource packages.

Cross-region replication traffic
Pay-as-you-go: Cross-region replication traffic fee = Cross-region replication traffic (GB) × Unit price per GB
Outbound traffic generated when data is successfully replicated from one bucket to another bucket in a different region using the cross-region replication feature.

Cross-region access traffic
Pay-as-you-go: Cross-region access traffic fee = Cross-region access traffic (GB) × Unit price per GB
Traffic generated by cross-region access to TOS through multi-region endpoints.
Request fee
Standard storage - read/write request count fee
Pay-as-you-go: Hourly fee for Standard storage requests = Hourly Standard storage request count × Unit price per 10,000 requests ÷ 10,000
Fees for request counts generated by API calls to Standard storage.
