Arrears description
This topic describes the service suspension rules for Container Registry (CR) when an account is in arrears and how to view arrears information.
Causes of arrears
Container Registry (CR) calculates charges on an hourly basis and deducts the amount due in real time after a bill is generated. If the available credit in your account, including the account balance and vouchers, is less than the amount of the bill to be settled, your account is considered to be in arrears.
Service suspension due to arrears
danger
There is a risk of service suspension and resource release in the event of arrears. Please renew in time to avoid any impact on your services. For more renewal information, see Renewal management.

Phase
Duration in arrears
Arrears description
Normal use
< 2 hours
Normal usage of product features is supported, and fees incurred during usage will be billed as usual. For billing details, see Billing overview.
Resource freeze

≥ 2 hours
Volcano Engine will send SMS and email notifications regarding the arrears, and freeze the resources (i.e., you will be unable to operate Standard Edition instances).
The billing rules during the resource freeze period are as follows:
  • No charges: Container Registry instances, namespace quotas, OCI artifact repository quotas, and VPC access quotas are not billed.
  • Charges continue: Outbound traffic over the public network and storage capacity continue to be billed. For more information, see Traffic fee and Storage capacity fee.
Unfreeze after settlement
From 2 hours to 15 days and 2 hours, inclusive
If you settle the arrears on your account, Volcano Engine automatically unfreezes the resources, and you can continue using the product normally.
Resource release
More than 15 days and 2 hours
Volcano Engine sends notifications by SMS and email and releases the resources. Resource release involves destroying the instances, and released resources cannot be recovered. Resources cannot be recovered once released.
